Deep Wind Offshore says its Admiral Lee offshore wind project has secured a first Electricity Business License from Korea's Electricity Regulatory Commission. The company says the 345 MW milestone advances the Yeosu-area project into its next development phase and follows an earlier public water surface permit. Deep Wind Offshore also says the project is being developed with Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power and will now move on to EIA and implementation approvals. It described the award as an important step in building out its South Korean offshore wind pipeline.
