Baltic East

Thirteen students completed the first semester of Gdansk University of Technology's offshore wind postgraduate programme, backed by ORLEN Neptun. The curriculum combined technical, environmental, legal and operational training with visits to Polish turbine, cable, tower, training and port facilities.

Poland's Energy Regulatory Office has published its 2025 activity report, highlighting the country's first auction supporting offshore wind. The December 2025 auction secured support for further Baltic Sea offshore wind farms with combined capacity above 3.4 GW. The report also covers the regulator's wider work on energy-market reform, grid connections and hydrogen regulation.

ORLEN Neptun's Baltic East project page says the project was among the winners of Poland's first offshore wind auction and is proceeding through early development work, including environmental surveys, design and consenting.

ORLEN Neptun and the Szczecin and Swinoujscie Seaports Authority have signed a letter of intent to examine expansion of Poland's first offshore wind installation terminal. The terminal already supports phase-two Baltic East and Baltic West projects and third-party users; any expansion would depend on business-analysis results and financing.

The Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency published a public notice on the final decision for the Baltic East offshore wind farm in area 46.E.1 of Poland's Baltic Sea exclusive economic zone, with the decision documents made available through the transport and offshore participation portal.
