RWE U.S. Offshore has agreed a $1.22 billion settlement with the US Department of the Interior and will relinquish offshore wind leases in the New York Bight and off California and Louisiana. RWE said it had invested more than $1 billion in the leases but concluded that the projects had no foreseeable permitting path.
