EMEC secures £3 million to develop DeepWind floating-wind test site

UK Research and Innovation has awarded EMEC £3 million over two years to advance its proposed DeepWind floating and deepwater wind test site. The funding supports engineering, environmental, regulatory and commercial work towards a final investment decision, with delivery targeted by 2030. The site would provide full-scale testing infrastructure to reduce technology risk before commercial offshore-wind deployment.
