Dogger Bank Wind Farm reports that its summer programme gave 10 students two weeks of offshore-wind work experience and 40 young people career-taster opportunities. Participants visited a service operations vessel, the Port of Tyne operations base, a marine control centre and supply-chain sites. The activities are part of the project's £26 million long-term community investment in skills and careers.

Up to 180 skilled jobs are being created at Scotland's Port of Nigg for turbine pre-assembly on the Dogger Bank B and C offshore wind projects, part of the 3.6 GW development due for completion in 2028.

Dogger Bank Wind Farm’s Community Fund is supporting the South Tyneside Careers Transport Bursary for a second year, helping schools cover travel costs for career-focused visits and work experience. The scheme has enabled 28 visits for nearly 1,000 young people across 24 schools, including clean-energy jobs fairs at the Port of Tyne, employer site visits and placements.

Dogger Bank Wind Farm says its STEM Careers programme has supported more than 10,000 young people in South Tyneside over five years. The project partners Equinor, SSE and Vargronn said the initiative has provided careers events, work experience, digital-skills training and other support for local students. The milestone forms part of the projects long-term community investment around the offshore wind farm and its North East operations.

ORE Catapult says the six-year TIGGOR programme supported 88 organisations, 23 products and 17 innovation projects while generating an estimated £20 million to £24 million in regional economic value. The programme also created jobs and apprenticeships and helped four businesses launch.

ORE Catapult's TIGGOR impact report says the £9 million North East England programme supported 88 businesses between 2020 and 2026. It directed £4.2 million of shared research funding to 17 projects, supported 36 full-time jobs and 25 apprenticeships or traineeships, and helped introduce 23 products to market.

SSE Renewables said Dogger Bank Wind Farm has opened its 2026 scholarship round for students in coastal communities near the project, adding a community-benefits update for the 3.6 GW UK offshore wind development.

Dogger Bank Wind Farm said Maraen Port of Nigg in Scotland will act as a marshalling harbour for GE Vernova turbine components for phases B and C, supporting storage, preparation and offshore transport ahead of installation in the North Sea.
