Dogger Bank Wind Farm reports the release of 1,054 juvenile European lobsters in its C-phase nearshore development area through its partnership with Whitby Lobster Hatchery. The work also included seawater sampling at nearshore and offshore Dogger Bank C sites for environmental DNA analysis. Researchers aim to build a baseline of marine biodiversity and assess whether sampling from offshore wind vessels can support future environmental monitoring.

Dogger Bank Wind Farm reports that its summer programme gave 10 students two weeks of offshore-wind work experience and 40 young people career-taster opportunities. Dogger Bank Wind Farm’s Community Fund is supporting the South Tyneside Careers Transport Bursary for a second year, helping schools cover travel costs for career-focused visits and work experience. The scheme has enabled 28 visits for nearly 1,000 young people across 24 schools, including clean-energy jobs fairs at the Port of Tyne, employer site visits and placements.

ORE Catapult says the six-year TIGGOR programme supported 88 organisations, 23 products and 17 innovation projects while generating an estimated £20 million to £24 million in regional economic value. The programme also created jobs and apprenticeships and helped four businesses launch.
