EnBW He Dreiht

EnBW and its investment partners have inaugurated the fully built 960 MW He Dreiht offshore wind farm in the German North Sea. The 64-turbine project was delivered without state subsidy, represents about EUR2.4 billion of investment and is moving through phased commissioning under long-term power-purchase agreements.

All 64 Vestas 15 MW turbines have been installed at EnBW's 960 MW He Dreiht offshore wind farm in the German North Sea. Technical and electrical commissioning will continue ahead of full operation expected by late summer, with most future output already covered by long-term power purchase agreements.

Cadeler has installed the final turbine at EnBW's 960 MW He Dreiht offshore wind farm in the German North Sea, completing a 64-turbine campaign for Vestas. Wind Orca began the work in April 2025 before Wind Keeper completed the remaining scope in its first installation campaign since joining Cadeler's fleet.

EnBW invested around EUR2.4 billion in the first half of 2026, primarily in electricity and gas grids, the He Dreiht offshore wind farm and low-carbon hydrogen-ready generation, while reporting adjusted EBITDA of EUR2.3 billion.

EnBW said 32 of 64 turbines have been built at the 960 MW He Dreiht offshore wind farm in the German North Sea, with all turbines planned to be built and commissioned by summer 2026.

EnBW said 45 of 64 turbines had been installed at the 960 MW He Dreiht offshore wind farm by the end of the first quarter of 2026, highlighting continued construction progress in the German North Sea.

EnBW said it has signed a 15-year power purchase agreement to supply Google with 100 MW from the He Dreiht offshore wind farm, linking the project's output to growing demand for clean electricity for digital infrastructure in Germany.

Bundesnetzagentur reported that Germany added 0.3 GW of offshore wind capacity in 2025 and noted that the most powerful offshore wind turbines to date, 15 MW units at EnBW He Dreiht in the North Sea, began operation in November and December.
