Ørsted receives final tax opinion on Walney Extension and Hornsea 1

An advisory commission under the EU Arbitration Convention has issued its final opinion on the taxation of Ørsted’s Walney Extension and Hornsea 1 offshore wind farms. Ørsted says the commission recognised the projects’ genuine legal and economic purpose and that they should primarily be taxed in the UK over their lifetimes, with a minor Danish adjustment covered by existing provisions.
