Hitachi Energy and L&T win 4 GW North Sea HVDC link awards

Hitachi Energy and Larsen & Toubro have been awarded the Nederwiek3 and LanWin5 offshore grid links under TenneT’s 2 GW programme. The two HVDC connections will carry 4 GW of North Sea renewable electricity to the Netherlands and Germany, with Nederwiek3 designed for potential future integration with the UK’s LionLink interconnector.
