RWE has installed 22 of 44 Vestas turbines at Germany's 660 MW Nordseecluster A offshore wind farm, with commissioning under way and full grid connection planned for early 2027. The wider 1.6 GW Nordseecluster is scheduled for completion in 2029.

Jan De Nul has completed three subsea HVAC cable links between the Nordseecluster 1 and 2 offshore wind platforms and TenneT's DolWin kappa converter platform in the German North Sea. The 37-kilometre system can transmit nearly 660 MW after cable installation, burial and rock protection work involving several specialist vessels.

RWE says the first turbine at Nordseecluster A has begun supplying electricity to the German grid as installation, testing and commissioning continue. The 660 MW first phase is scheduled for full commissioning in early 2027, while the 900 MW Nordseecluster B phase is planned from 2029; together the projects are expected to generate about 6.5 TWh annually.

RWE said the first turbine at the 660 MW Nordseecluster A offshore wind farm has begun feeding electricity into Germany's grid, with full commissioning due in early 2027 and the 900 MW Nordseecluster B scheduled from 2029.

RWE said it has opened a new control centre in Jemgum, East Frisia, to monitor and operate its offshore wind farms around the clock. The facility will support five existing German offshore wind farms and is also intended to serve future projects including the North Sea Cluster.

RWE installed the first turbine at Nordseecluster A, part of the 1.6 GW Nordseecluster offshore wind project north of Juist in the German North Sea, moving the project into the turbine installation phase.

DEME said it named the Norse Wind jack-up installation vessel in Oslo, with the vessel set to install Vestas turbines and XXL monopiles on projects including RWE and Norges Bank Investment Management's Nordseecluster offshore wind development.
