Norway's Ministry of Energy has granted Ventyr SN II a 12-month extension to complete the project-specific environmental assessment and submit its licence application for Sørlige Nordsjø II. The new deadline is 15 October 2027, allowing more time to assess an alternative landfall and grid connection near Alcoa's Lista plant.
