Handeck 3
Handeck 3 pumped hydro overview.
Handeck 3 is a pumped-storage station in the Kraftwerke Oberhasli hydroelectric system in the Bernese Alps. Its Isogyre pump-turbine helps transfer water between the Räterichsboden, Handeck and Gadmental parts of the system so that generation can respond to demand. First commissioned in 1976, the station returned to commercial service after a major refurbishment in 2018.In OperationSwitzerland
