Limmern
Limmern pumped hydro overview.
Limmern is an underground pumped-storage plant in the Glarus Alps, operated by Kraftwerke Linth-Limmern. Its four reversible 250 MW units move water between Limmernsee and the higher Muttsee reservoir, balancing electricity supply and demand. Commissioned in stages during 2016–2017, it forms a distinct part of the wider Linth-Limmern hydropower scheme. In OperationSwitzerland
