Electricity system
Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat is the government-owned national electricity company responsible for generation, imports, transmission, distribution and supply. The Ministry of Energy and Water leads energy and water policy and oversees major dam and generation development.
Grid context
Afghanistan's grid is supplied by domestic plants and several cross-border import connections. The mapped package covers 94.47% of reconstructed official grid-hydropower capacity; six minor stations totalling 23.13 MW remain withheld where current operating identity or a precise project point could not be reconciled.
