Electricity system
PRODEL operates the principal public generation fleet, RNT operates transmission and the wholesale system, and ENDE distributes electricity. The Ministry of Energy and Water sets policy while IRSEA regulates electricity and water services.
Grid context
Angola's northern, central and southern systems are being progressively interconnected and extended. The mapped package contains every reconciled operating hydropower complex at or above 25 MW and an estimated minimum 97.9% of current national hydro capacity.
