Electricity system
PSRC licenses and regulates electricity companies. Major hydro generation is organised through International Energy Corporation and ContourGlobal Hydro Cascade, alongside independent small hydro and solar producers.
Grid context
The 18 selected hydro stations provide 1009.96 MW of installed capacity, approximately 73.8% of national hydro capacity. Masrik covers about 12% of the operating solar capacity in the April 2026 licence roster. Installed capacity is distinguished from temporarily available hydro capacity.
