Electricity system
REGIDESO operates Burundi's principal public electricity network and hydro fleet. Independent generation also supplies the system. Jiji and Mulembwe have expanded domestic supply, with both plants confirmed operating by REGIDESO and development partners.
Grid context
Only stations physically in Burundi are represented. Burundi's allocations from foreign Rusumo and Ruzizi stations are not duplicated as domestic assets. Every >=1 MW hydro and solar station in AREEN's 2024 roster is included, plus later Jiji and Mulembwe. Sub-MW systems are omitted; the commissioning status of the separate Ruvyi102 project remains unconfirmed.
