Electricity system
The Organismo Coordinador coordinates operation and dispatch of the Sistema Electrico Nacional Interconectado. ETED operates the transmission network, the Superintendencia de Electricidad regulates the sector and the Comision Nacional de Energia leads policy and planning.
Grid context
Utility-scale generators connect through ETED's national transmission network and participate in coordinated system dispatch. Recent renewable growth is led by utility solar, complemented by the established onshore-wind and hydropower fleets.
