Electricity system
The electricity system is divided among the Libreville, Port-Gentil and eastern regional networks rather than one fully interconnected national grid. The Government is restructuring the state electricity sector following the long-standing SEEG operating model.
Grid context
The five mapped conventional-hydropower assets of at least 1 MW cover 99.55% of national renewable-hydro capacity. Two sub-1 MW plants totalling 0.5 MW are outside scope.
