Electricity system
Georgian State Electrosystem operates the transmission network and national dispatch centre. GNERC regulates the electricity sector, while ESCO performs market-operator functions and registers wholesale participants.
Grid context
Large generators connect to GSE's transmission system, which is interconnected with Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia and Turkey. The mapped package covers both current wind farms and just over 90% of national hydropower capacity.
