Electricity system
The Administrador del Mercado Mayorista coordinates Guatemala's wholesale electricity market and operation of the National Interconnected System. CNEE is the independent regulator responsible for enforcing the electricity law, regulated network tariffs, technical standards and open network access.
Grid context
Generators participate through the National Interconnected System and connect to transmission or distribution networks under CNEE's access rules. The current mapped package covers every AMM central solar plant and every operating onshore-wind farm; distributed-generation solar is kept outside the map until project-specific points are available.
