Electricity system
Guyana Power and Light operates the main public interconnected system, while the Guyana Energy Agency leads renewable-energy programmes and supports hinterland systems. Remote communities also rely on isolated mini-grids and standalone generation.
Grid context
Both currently commissioned GEA small-hydropower projects are mapped at project-specific points. The 0.7 MW Moco-Moco plant is retained despite the normal 1 MW threshold so the small official fleet is shown completely rather than selectively.
