Electricity system
The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy owns and operates the national electricity system. Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research developed Shagaya Phase I, while Kuwait Oil Company operates the Sidrah 500 solar facility.
Grid context
Kuwait operates a nationally integrated grid connected to the Gulf Cooperation Council interconnector. The mapped package covers the complete documented 70 MW Shagaya Phase I fleet and the 10 MW Sidrah 500 plant.
