Electricity system
OJSC Electric Stations operates the principal large generating plants. The National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan owns and operates the high-voltage transmission system, while the Ministry of Energy sets national policy and the electricity regulator oversees tariffs and licensing.
Grid context
The major hydropower cascade connects through the national high-voltage system and participates in the interconnected Central Asian power network. The mapped package covers 96.10% of current national hydropower capacity.
