Electricity system
Societe Mauritanienne d'Electricite operates the public electricity system and all four renewable plants in the mapped package. Isolated settlements also use smaller hybrid and off-grid systems outside this central-grid asset view.
Grid context
The mapped package contains 130 MW of wind and 65 MW of solar at four operating SOMELEC sites. It represents 94.89% of national wind capacity and 95.88% of on-grid solar capacity.
