Offshore grid connection in the Netherlands is handled by TenneT NL under the Net op Zee programme, which pre-builds standardised offshore HVDC transformer platforms connecting multiple farms to the onshore grid. Grid connection is allocated alongside the Kavels op Zee leasing process and is not a separate critical path, removing a major source of delay experienced in other markets. This integrated model is a global benchmark.
