Electricity system
The Nigerian Independent System Operator operates the national power system, grid dispatch and wholesale market. The Transmission Company of Nigeria owns and maintains national transmission assets, while the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission regulates the electricity supply industry.
Grid context
Large generators connect to Nigeria's 330 kV and 132 kV national grid. The mapped package covers all five hydropower plants in NERC's operational grid-connected fleet, which together provide more than 92% of national renewable-hydropower capacity.
