Electricity system
Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) operates the national transmission and distribution grid. QatarEnergy develops the country's large solar portfolio alongside established independent power and water producers.
Grid context
The three mapped utility-solar plants feed Qatar's national grid and total 1.675 GW. They represent 99.70% of IRENA's 2025 on-grid solar capacity; smaller site-specific installations are outside the commercial grid-supply scope.
