Electricity system
Senelec is the national electricity utility and principal transmission and distribution operator. The Ministry of Energy sets policy and the Commission for Energy Sector Regulation regulates electricity activities and licensing.
Grid context
The interconnected system participates in the West African Power Pool and receives regional hydropower through OMVS arrangements. The mapped package covers the complete operating wind fleet, the representative central-solar portfolio and the country's first grid battery.
