Electricity system
The Ministry of Energy leads policy, the Electricity Generation and Transmission Company manages public generation and transmission assets, and the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority distributes and supplies electricity.
Grid context
Newton, Lungi and Bo-Kenema provide 50 MW of mapped operating solar and complete coverage at or above 5 MW. Bumbuna adds 50 MW and covers 89.29% of current on-grid hydro capacity.
