Ceylon Electricity Board owns and operates the national transmission system and most large generation while also serving much of the retail market. The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka regulates electricity licences, tariffs, quality and sector performance.
Large generators connect through CEB's national transmission network. The mapped package covers the complete CEB major-hydropower fleet and 99.68% of official wind capacity, while smaller mini-hydro and solar remain outside this package.
