Electricity system
The Ministry of Electric Power sets national electricity policy. State-owned CORPOELEC is the vertically integrated utility responsible for most generation, transmission, system operation, distribution and electricity supply.
Grid context
Large generators connect through Venezuela's National Electric System operated by CORPOELEC. The mapped package contains eight operating conventional-hydropower assets totalling 16,824 MW and the 2,160 MW Tocoma project under construction, all at exact project sites.
