Electricity system
The National Power System and Market Operation Company operates Vietnam's national power system and electricity market. EVN and National Power Transmission Corporation own and operate the principal transmission network, while the Ministry of Industry and Trade and ERAV oversee policy and regulation.
Grid context
Utility-scale generators connect through the national transmission and regional distribution systems under the regulated electricity framework. Rapid wind and solar growth is concentrated in central and southern provinces and has created material grid-integration and curtailment challenges.
