Structured Intelligence, Open to the Sector

InsightRegistered, verified professional access · The structured intelligence layer. Free with a login, because the working sector deserves better than a paywall.

Structured offshore wind intelligence has sat behind enterprise paywalls for years. Tens of thousands of pounds a seat for data the sector has, in principle, produced itself. That works for the handful of organisations large enough to absorb the cost. It leaves everyone else, the specialist consultancies, the smaller developers, the niche suppliers, the analysts, the contracting technical advisors, looking at headline PDFs and guessing at the rest.

L2 is the alternative. The same category of structured, joined-up intelligence that has historically carried a six-figure price tag, open to the working sector behind nothing more than a registration. Register, verify, use.

The goal is simple. Build the industry marketplace. Qualify the registered professionals who use it. Funnel active industry traffic from L1 into L3 contracted relationships. The platform becomes the definitive insight layer for the global offshore wind supply chain, and the audience it reaches is the one that actually moves the sector forward.

Four core insight modules

What L2 puts in front of a logged-in professional

Core Dataset
Supply Chain Mapping
The thirteen-category EOS Omnia™ Supply Chain Directory. Verified organisations mapped to projects, components, and procurement categories. Tier 1 to Tier 4 depth. 1,500+ organisations indexed and growing. Every company links to the projects it is active on, every project links back to its verified supply chain. This is the core dataset the rest of L2 joins against.
13 categories T1 to T4 depth 1,500+ organisations Project-linked
Interactive
Events Calendar
Conferences, working groups, regulatory consultations, live and on-demand webinars. Filterable, followable, and linked through to the organisations and projects each event touches. No more separate tracking across twelve newsletters.
Conferences Working groups Consultations Webinars
Analytics
Curtailment Analysis
Revenue lost, MWh curtailed, curtailment rates, and event logs per wind farm. The visibility that, until now, only the operators themselves and a small number of paid analysts had. The registered sector gets it at L2. Deeper programmatic access and tailored reporting sits at L3.

Project Profiling
Structured profiles for every commercial offshore wind project globally. Status, capacity, ownership, supply chain dependencies, regulatory position, and milestone timeline. A consistent view across 1,500+ projects, not a PDF factsheet from each operator written in its own format.

Joining the dots

What you can do at L2 that you cannot do at L1

The individual data objects, projects, organisations, events, curtailment feeds, are each useful on their own. The real value of L2 is that they are joined. Every organisation links to the projects it is active on. Every project links to its verified supply chain. Every event links to the companies and projects it touches. Every curtailment feed links back to the wind farm's commercial owner. Three example uses sit below.

The Specialist Consultant
Scoping a feasibility study for a new market
A consultant has been asked to scope a feasibility study for a new-to-sector developer entering UK offshore wind. They need to understand, fast, who is active across the feasibility and early-development phase, who the credible supply chain partners are at each procurement category, and which analogous projects have reached FID in the last three years. L2 answers all three from one place, without the consultant chasing twelve different industry databases and a stack of conference brochures.
The Tier 2 Supplier
Understanding where they fit across the lifecycle
A Tier 2 electrical systems supplier wants to map out where their services are needed across the offshore wind project lifecycle, and which projects are in the procurement window for their capabilities over the next 18 months. They use L2 to filter the Supply Chain Directory by their category, cross-reference against project profiling, and read the events calendar for the consultations and working groups where early procurement conversations happen. The outreach work that used to take a week of manual research becomes a morning.
The Mid-Market Developer
Mapping procurement capacity against pipeline
A developer with three projects in construction and two more reaching FID wants to understand where the supply chain is thin, which categories are oversubscribed, and which other UK and Continental projects are competing for the same vessel windows, cable manufacturing slots, or foundation yard capacity. L2 gives them a cross-project view they previously would have paid a top-tier consultancy six figures to assemble.

Open data, named sources

The foundation L2 is built on

Every module in L2 sits on the same open data foundation that powers L1. The UK Renewable Energy Planning Database, Crown Estate open data, EMODnet, ENTSO-E transparency, national regulator publications, and published commercial filings. L2 adds structure, verification, and linkage. The value is in the joining, not in access to secret sources.

This is a deliberate commercial choice. Paywalled sources create a dependency on a single provider. Open sources let the platform, and the sector, verify and extend the data set. Where L2 draws on regulated filings or commercial disclosures, the original source is named alongside the derived field.

For Sponsors and Advertisers
Reach a qualified, registered, sector audience
L2 carries targeted advertising for sponsors who want to reach a verified working-sector audience. The users are registered professionals, self-identified by role, category, and region. For an OEM, a Tier 1 supplier, a specialist consultancy, or a technology vendor, this is a direct line to the people who shortlist, specify, and buy. L2 advertising is sold as part of the L3 Business Package, not separately.
